Sung or spoken, poetry has historically been a means of resistance for Afro peoples. This presentation explores decimas, and connects this Spanish language tradition to Brazilian and American spoken word traditions.

With poets, Eleuterio Santiago-Díaz, and special guest artists, Pauila Melissa Alves, aka Mel Adún, Marcus Gonçalves da Silva, aka Guellwaar Adún, Monice Aguilar, J. Gourdin, and Leandro Pita.
